No, Mevo does not have a built-in camera. The video is taken with the camera on your mobile device within the Mevo app. The Mevo radar synchronizes the action video clip, which is recorded on your device automatically, resulting in an overlay of your captured data on the video clip of your swing.

The Mevo Connects to Android and IOS devices via Bluetooth.

Along with your Mevo, you will receive a USB charging cable, 100 metallic stickers, a carrying pouch, and a quick-start manual.

Yes, Mevo can be used indoors and outdoors. The space requirements for indoors is 2.4 meters of ball flight and 1.2 - 2.1 meters behind the impact zone. In total you will need up to 4.5 meters of space.

Your Mevo should be placed 1.2 - 2.1 meters behind the golf ball on the ground. We have seen the best results with wedges at 1.2 meters and drivers at 2.1 meters, specifically with higher club speeds.

Yes. Mevo provides 2D trajectories. It does not however provide 3D trajectories and shot shape.

The Mevo+ Pro Package add-on give access to over 20 additional data parameters, including the complete D-Plane dataset.

FlightScope Mevo+ data parameters will always be available free of charge without a subscription fee. Furthermore, software releases and firmware upgrades will be made available at no additional cost. FlightScope does offer a suite of upgrades to compliment your Mevo+ that may have a one-time fee or a montly fee associated with them. These include, but are not limited to the Pro Package upgrade, Face Impact Location, Badger AI, FlightScope Planning Tool, and golf simulation software.

Along with your Mevo+ you will receive a power adapter, USB charging cable, 100 metallic stickers, a carrying case, a 12-Course iOS E6 Connect license, and a quick-start guide.

Yes, Mevo+ has a built-in camera for sensor alignment and video capture. The built in camera is used for capturing data in combination with the doppler radar using our Patented Fusion Tracking technology.

Swing video can be captured with your Apple or Android device, as well as the radar's built-in camera, using the FS Golf application. Additional angles can be captured using the FS Multicam application which can be downloaded on the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. The video is synchronized with your device to automatically record and clip video of your swing with an optional data overlay.

No, the E6 connect iOS bundle that comes with the Mevo+ during the original transaction is not transferable. If the user decides to sell his or her Mevo+ unit, the purchaser of the used unit will have to purchase a separate E6 bundle to gain access to courses and driving ranges.

Mevo+ is integrated with TruGolf (E6 Connect) and comes with ownership of 12 golf courses, 17 ranges, and a mini game powered by E6. This bundle that comes with the purchase of Mevo+ is for iOS and Windows PC. Customers have the option to purchase additional E6 simulation packages if they want more courses.

Mevo+ is also integrated with The Golf Club 2019 (PC), Awesome Golf (PC & iOS), E6 Connect (iOS & PC), and Creative Golf 3D (PC), and GSPro (PC).

Yes, the Mevo+ is compatible with the FS Skills App available on iOS and Android.

Yes, the Mevo+ SHIELD Protection Plan is an annual protection and repair service offered to all Mevo+ customers to cover the hardware outside of our standard 12 month warranty. The Mevo+ SHIELD Protection Plan provides accidental damage coverage and gives users unlimited free repairs for the life of the Plan.

The SHIELD Protection Plan covers the following:
Accidental damage including accidental ball and club impact damage
Failures during normal use
Accidental damage from a low drop
Faulty materials or workmanship

You will make use of the Mevo+ through the FS Golf App, which is compatible with iPhone, iPad, Android and PC. The app is available for free on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. The unit connects to your device using Wi-Fi, and does not require internet connection to run.

Within the FS Golf App, you will be able to begin a full swing session, a chipping session, a putting session, and a swing training session, as well as review any of your past sessions at any time.

You will also be able to compete in a series of challenges – namely the PGA Challenge, the Range Competition and the Long Drive Competition. If you are looking to test your skills even further, FlightScope’s free FS Skills app offers the most advanced and customizable combine assessment available.

X3

To switch the system ON:

While holding the X3 unit, press the latch underneath the unit to release the leg, then pull the leg down and outwards until fully extended. From here, place the unit on the ground or floor in its intended operating position. Once the leg is open, press the power button.

To switch the system OFF:

Lift the X3 unit and push the leg back to its closed position until the latch clicks.

CAUTION: Keep fingers clear.

The unit will proceed to retract its feet and shut down the processor. Alternatively press the power button if the unit is not going to be packed away.

NOTE: The shutdown time can be up to 30 seconds.

All the software should automatically download the latest version of firmware and install it automatically. To make sure you have the latest firmware, please do the following:

1. If you have a FlightScope app open, please close it.
2. Connect your iPad or PC to the internet (do not have it connected to your radar).
3. Open the applicable FlightScope app.
4. If firmware is available it will automatically start to download and a message will appear on screen "Downloading new firmware.." (download will take less than one minute).
5. Once the download is complete, connect your device to the X3.

No, not unless you are an approved systems integrator. FlightScope only supplies a software interface to selected parties who provide complementary products to FlightScope.

Distance Requirements

Short Indoor Mode: The distance from the tee to the FlightScope sensor should be exactly 2.4 meters. For the most accurate measurements in this setup, there must be at least 2.4 meters of ball flight.

Indoor Mode: The distance from the tee to the FlightScope sensor should be 3.3 meters. For the most accurate measurements, there must be at least 3.9 meters of ball flight.

Environmental Requirements

Please ensure that there are no obstructions between the FlightScope sensor and the tee. Ideally, fluorescent lights should be avoided; incandescent, halogen or sodium lights are acceptable. If the location has fluorescent lights, aluminum insect screens available from any hardware store (Lowe's or The Home Depot) can be used to shade the lights.

Metal Stickers or RCT Balls - Direct Spin Measurement (indoor only)
Due to the short ball flight distance in an indoor golf swing simulator setup, FlightScope requires that the ball be marked with a metal sticker to get accurate spin readings. Only one sticker is required per ball. The golf ball is placed with the sticker facing the screen, away from the clubface. You are also able to use the Titliest RCT balls to measure the spin accurately, with no metal sticker required.

Yes, face impact location is included with the X3 by default.

The wifi password is the same as the serial number ie: X3-01111 serial number, has a password of X3-01111. Please make sure the ‘X’ is capitalized.

The FlightScope X3 uses Advanced Fusion to record the Face Impact Location on your shots. FlightScope's Patented Advanced Fusion Tracking feature requires sufficient lighting to collect accurate data. The minimum light measurement in your hitting area to achieve this is 300 lux. Because this is the minimum requirement, we recommend lighting the area so that you achieve a lux reading higher than 300 with a lux meter in an area with a 3 foot (approximately 0.9 meter) radius measured from the hitting location.

You are able to see what versions of firmware you have on your unit by using the software apps.

Below are the steps for each of the apps. In all instances the unit will need to be connected to the X3.

1. FS Golf - In the Settings screen, scroll to the bottom of the screen where you will be shown the AVR and DSP versions.

2. FS VX - In the Settings screen, click on Device Settings and scroll to the bottom of the screen where you will see Firmware version.

3. FS Skills - FS Skills - Select Settings, click on Device Settings and scroll to the bottom of the screen where you will see Firmware version.

4. FS Golf PC - Select Settings, click on Radar and the information will be displayed.

If you want to buy a second-hand unit or sell your product to someone else, you can do it according to some rules as follows:

1) The product warranty (if any) will pass on to the new owner.

2) Licenses for third-party simulation software included with the purchase of the original product (eg, E6-connect) will NOT be transferred to the new owner, in accordance with the license terms of those software vendors. The new owner must purchase these licenses directly from the simulator vendor (or FlightScope if applicable.) Make sure you know what the Seller will be including with the sale.

3) Any existing optional service contracts will NOT be transferred to the new owner

4) Buyers are encouraged to email support@flightscopemevo.com with the item's serial number (printed on the back of the unit) to inquire if the seller is the registered owner, and if the item is blacklisted (e.g. known to be lost or stolen).

There is no cost for the FlightScope apps. They are included with a purchase of Mevo or Mevo+ and can be found on the App Store and Google Play market.

Yes. In the application settings you can choose between metric (km/h, m, seconds etc.), imperial (mph, feet and inches etc.), or scientific (m, seconds, m/s etc.) units.

Yes, you can input an unlimited number of clubs.

Club loft can be input manually for reference purposes only.

Hardware & Technology

Although Mevo and Mevo+ radiate a miniscule amount of radio frequency energy in the microwave band, the levels are far below the limits imposed by governmental agencies for safe human exposure.

Mevo and Mevo+ contain rechargeable Lithium Ion batteries. These batteries have been safety certified by their manufacturers and contain built in electronic protection circuitry. It remains your responsibility however to observe the following regarding batteries:

1) Do not expose the product or a battery to direct sources of heat such as flames
2) Do not allow a battery to be mechanically punctured
3) Stop using the product or battery if you notice a strange odor, change in color, too much heat, change in shape, leaking, odd noises.
4) Do not charge the product when covered by anything that can catch fire (bedding, towels, newspapers, etc.).
5) Do not put the product or a battery by itself in the trash. Recycle at a battery recycling location or contact your community for disposal instructions.

Metallic stickers are needed in an indoor environment in order for the Mevo to accurately measure ball spin.

Not currently, but we are working on additional solutions that will make this possible in the near future.

Yes, as long as the minimum space requirements are met.

Yes. Radar technology does not require direct sunlight for accurate measurement and is completely unaffected by low light conditions!
However, performance can and may be affected by fluorescent lighting.

Yes. Performance can be affected by fluorescent lighting, heavy machinery, excess metal, and/or any rotating objects (fans, air conditioning units, etc.) in the surrounding area.

Mevo and Mevo+ work with FocusBand, but not BodiTrak.

Data & Accuracy

Mevo+ is a low power Doppler radar using phased antenna array technology to detect and track golf ball launch and flight.

It measures the speed of the ball, as well as the position of the ball as it progresses along its flight path.
Sophisticated mathematical estimators are used to track the ball even under adverse conditions, using the physics of ball flight to overcome random noise and fading conditions experienced in the real world.

The phased array technology also picks up tiny variations in the Doppler signals caused by the spinning motion of the ball, enabling direct measurement of the ball spin rate.

Mevo+’s low power Doppler radar uses phased antenna array technology to detect and track club swings.

It measures the speed of the club as well as its position along its curved path of motion.

Sophisticated mathematical methods are used to follow the club along its trajectory and determine important measures such as swing plane angle, attack angle, and path, apart from club speed at impact.

Mevo+’s phased array Doppler technology has four independent receivers picking up the tiny variations in the signals reflected from the spinning ball. These variations are measured and combined to provide the measured spin rate of the ball.

When used indoors with limited ball flight distance, it becomes harder to measure the spin rate because the ball may execute only a small number of rotations before being stopped by a screen or net. Therefore reflective stickers are needed to enhance the signal variations due to ball spin, making measurement possible.
